“Yikes,” “Good Luck” – WWE Fans React to Current Champion’s Controversial Comments

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on May 29, 2023, episode RAW. Since then, The Ugliest Woman on the Planet has immediately caught the eye with some of her comments.

A few weeks ago, Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan vacated the title following an injury. On the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, Rousey defeated Shotzi to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Shayna Baszler in a Fatal Four-Way match.

Talking to New York Post Office after winning the title, Rousey criticized the company’s women’s division. The ugliest woman on the planet said that she was aware of the problems in WWE.

Her comments caused a storm in the wrestling community. Fans took to Twitter to react to Ronda Rousey’s controversial comment.

WWE may award Ronda Rousey and Shayna Bazler an extended run with the Women’s Team Title. Both have dominated their work on the main roster, and it makes sense to rank them as the worst team in the company.

Ronda Rousey believes WWE lacks competition

However, she thinks the lack of competition in the division is a big problem.

“Well, lack of competition is really a problem… I mean, we want to be the most active champions out there. I want to be able to defend this title weekly and even two times a week on both ‘SmackDown’ and ‘RAW’… But given how shallow the women’s division is these days, there aren’t enough women around to keep us busy for a month. The biggest challenge we’ve had is getting this company to really care and invest in this card division.”

Over the years, fans have criticized the booking of the women’s division in general and the Women’s Team Championship in particular.

Most of the time, the title is considered an afterthought. Fans can hope to see Rousey and Baszler lift the value of titles with a good track record.
