Xbox has announced the first free games for subscribers in 2023. Though the news doesn’t mention the first wave of the game. Added Game Pass — though I have no doubt those are coming soon — it gives us the opening act for the Game with Gold. Xbox users have access to two free titles: Iris Fall and Autonauts.
Iris Fall (or Iris.Fall) is a monochrome style puzzle adventure game that was first released in 2018. The game follows Iris on her journey through a maze-like world. in dream. NEXT Studios developed and published this game, the same developer who created the December 2022 Gold game Bladed Fury.
Autonauts is a 2019 indie sim that looks like a cross between Minecraft and Stardew Valley. Players must turn planets into working farms, through creating an army of bots to help you. You can even create a village full of people to protect with your car. It’s a lovely, colorful title.
Xbox Game with Gold has undergone a development in 2022 – namely it discontinuing Xbox 360 games to subscribers. Considering it comes with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, it’s likely that many Gold subscribers already have access to Game Pass’ large library. PlayStation also recently announced January titles for the PlayStation Plus Subscribers.
