Woman accused of running over her boyfriend after he 'ate a piece of her fries'

Woman charged with felony endangering life

A 42-year-old woman in the Australian city of Adelaide has been charged with trying to drive over her partner after an argument over chips. 9 News.com report. The woman’s boyfriend has claimed that his partner “deliberately” tried to hit her car after he took one of her chips.

Matthew Finn has made a shocking claim in the Adelaide Magistrates Court against his partner, Charlotte Harrison. Mr Finn told the court he made the mistake of asking for a chip from Mrs. Harrison’s chicken and salad wrap when he accompanied her in her Subaru on February 26.

“I thought she was done. I shouldn’t have asked for a chip. I had a chip and she pulled over and asked me to get off,” Matthew Finn was quoted as saying by 9News.

Ms. Harrison denied the allegations and said the incident was just an accident. She told the magistrate’s court that she was taking Finn to the hospital and was assaulted on the way by him, prompting her to stop her car to let him out. He testified that when he got out of the car, he realized that Ms. Harrison’s car was coming towards him.

Meanwhile, Ms Harrison’s duty lawyer said she had “no intention of harming” Mr Finn but accidentally stepped on the gas while trying to turn the car around to call police, the Adelaide Advertiser reported. The car ended up hitting another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

However, Mr Finn believes it was a deliberate act.

“Smash into a Toyota Yaris, and yes, poor girl, she’ll be in shock for the rest of her life. That’s the worst. It’s a lane there, and she just hit a Subaru,” said Finn. speak 9News.

During the bail hearing, Ms. Harrison was charged with serious endangerment of life and reckless or dangerous driving. She now faces a stay-at-home order until Friday. She will return to court on Friday to find out if her bail application was successful.
