Why is DLSS 3 not supported in previous generation RTX GPUs?

Because DLSS Frame Generation runs as a post-processing on the GPU, DLSS3 does not work on previous generation cards. The upgraded optical flow analyzers on the RTX 4000 series cards are several light years ahead of previous generation models.
