The New Orleans Saints will face fellow Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium with Andy Dalton at the center.
Both teams are going through heavy losses, with New Orleans losing 13-0 to the San Francisco 49ers.
For Tom Brady and the Buccaneers, it’s an overtime loss to the Cleveland Browns that they’ll want to atone for.
While Dennis Allen’s team has been Brady’s boggart for the past few seasons, are times starting to change?
Although the Saints have won three of the last five meetings Between the two, tonight’s game could have a different feel as the Saints start in midfield.
Saints start QB tonight: Andy Dalton vs Buccaneers
Andy Dalton will start his 13th away game in prime time tonight. Unfortunately, for Dalton, he’s an incredible 0-12 in primetime road games.
That won’t instill much confidence at all. Even if there’s anything left of last week’s 13-0 loss to the 49ers, going up against Brady and the Buccaneers promises to be an uphill task.
But it may not be all and bleak for Saints fans. New Orleans has an arrow in their quiver. Dennis Allen.
One team that has been constantly causing Brady trouble and that is the Allen’s Saints. In defence, they have the shirt number of the 45-year-old midfielder and hope to create space for Dalton and his teammates tonight.
Saints aim to keep season alive compared to Buccaneers
With a score of 4-8, a win over Tampa Bay could help Allen’s team move up from the bottom of the table to second place on 5-8 Atlanta Falcon. Both would have the same record, but New Orleans beat Atlanta earlier in the season 27-26 to secure a draw.
That’s certainly some momentum for Dalton and New Orleans, and hopefully they can perform for their fans. Another performance wasn’t what the team needed to put on Tampa tonight.
With the possibility of a knockout from the outside, a win tonight might just be the tonic for New Orleans to advance into the knockouts late.
