When will Kevin Durant return from injury? Phoenix Suns Officially Reveal “Tentative” Return Date

After Kevin Durant was traded on the February 9 deadline, many waited patiently for him to launch the Phoenix Suns. The former MVP has been sidelined since early January due to an MCL injury.

Amid recent developments, it seems the wait is over. The Phoenix Suns announced on Twitter that KD is scheduled to take on the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday.

Kevin Durant is scheduled to launch the Phoenix Suns tomorrow in Charlotte.

Before his injury, Kevin Durant was in the middle of the season MVP for the Brooklyn Nets. In 39 games, he averaged 29.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists.

Finally, the NBA world will finally get its first look at Durant along with Chris Paul, Booker Devin and Deandre Ayton.

Kevin Durant has limited time to make it work with Phoenix Suns

When phoenix sun exchange a large amount of assets to bring in KD, the expectation immediately skyrocketed. After adding a two-time MVP to the Finals, they are currently at the top of the list of championship contenders.

Phoenix (33-29) can have all the pieces to make a NBA Finals run, but one thing they’re missing is time. Including their debut against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, Durant and the Suns have just 20 games before the end of the season.

In addition to making things harmonious with their new core, the Suns also have very few errors in the rankings. The Western Conference standings are always tense all season long as many teams want to advance to the knockout stages.

Currently, the Suns are in fourth place and three games behind the top team. King Sacramento (35-25) on third. That being said, only three games separate Phoenix and 11th place Portland Trail Blazers (29-31). If they don’t come out hot, that could completely change their path to the NBA Finals.

One thing they did for them is that KD has proven to be the best plug-and-play player in history. His skill set allows him to easily fit into any system regardless of the type of talent around him. This will allow Phoenix to suffer less from the growing pains as the new star enters the group.

Phoenix also has one of the best deck champions in the game to return. Chris Paul remains one of the top supports in the league and will make sure everyone gets the right moves.

With the current Kevin Durant debut, all the league can do is wait and see if it has another super team on its hands.
