In the new movie trailer released in April, Collette plays a woman who inherits her grandfather’s mafia empire. There are horrifying things about her new living situation—employees offering to kill anyone inconvenient—and potentially intriguing things: hired hands offering to kill ex-husbands.
It’s the kind of out-of-water fish story that Collette excels at, thwarting any interactions with the ruthless mob she’s currently in charge of. The icing on the cake is Monica Bellucci as the company’s trusted consignor. The fact that Collette is a many awards nominated actress make this movie? A treat for all of us.
It’s interesting that an actress is considered in the conversation of elite actors—there is a scene in The sixth Sense iconic—shows yourself the silly side. What is that Mafia’s Mother, by name alone, seems to be. It can be called Mafia’s Motherbut maybe the title should be Mafiabecause, as the youth say, it’s Collette.
