We love the Switch. It’s a pretty neat kit after all. But that doesn’t mean we don’t have problems with the console or think it could be with a regular update or two. And we’ve come up with another improvement that we think will make multiplayer easier.
Who used Download Play on their DS or 3DS? We played a lot Mario Kart DS with our friends using this feature that we really remember it. Being able to play games with someone even if they don’t have their own copy is awesome. But the Switch doesn’t have this – just Namco Museum and Clubhouse games: 51 games worldwide do something similar. There used to be a free multiplayer-only version (but it only has Pac-Man Vs. is the only multiplayer game in that collection) and the latter has a Local Multiplayer Guest Edition that you can download from the eShop.
So the lovely Felix is giving a reason why the Switch should have a similar feature so that we can play games with our friends to our hearts content. We know the Switch game is much bigger compared to a DS game (Mario Kart DS is less than 20MB, vs Mario Kart 8 Deluxe currently around 7.4 GB and without DLC).
Of course, this dream Switch Download Play won’t come with every feature of the game – that’s impossible! But it would allow people to play the game or join in if they were around a friend’s house and interested.
We know it’s not that easybut you should totally check out Felix’s business pitch below!
OFFERet we know if you think Switch Download Play is a great idea in the comments.
