After being revealed at Nintendo Direct Februaryfirst wave of DLC for Splatoon 3 is now here, bringing the central world of Inkopolis from the first game in the series to the Switch.
For now, the location is nothing more than a new mall, with no notable rewards being granted to those who choose to shop and play there instead of Splatsville. Can you remember the location from 2015 splash gun on the Wii U, and although it’s mostly unchanged in the new Switch form, the graphics have received some improvements.
To show how it has improved, YouTube channel GameXplain created a short comparison video showing Inkopolis in its original Wii U state compared to how we find it on Switch today. While not a complete overhaul by any means, you can see all the shiny new changes by checking out the full comparison above.
We’re still awaiting the release date for the second wave of DLC ‘Side Order’ for Splatoon 3, which is set to add a brand new single-player campaign.
