Top real estate agent charged with sexually assaulting women

One of Sydney’s top five real estate agents has been released on bail with several conditions after he was charged with sexually assaulting three women over two years.

In June, Omar Lababidi was named as the city’s fifth highest performing real estate agent after selling 145 houses in a single year across the Macarthur region of Sydney.

Only a month later, the Ray White senior sales executive was arrested and charged with 15 sexual offences against three women.

Police allege he sexually assaulted the women in different suburbs around the Macarthur region between July 2021 and June 2023.

According to police allegations, Mr Lababidi allegedly sexually touched one woman on three separate occasions in the latter half of 2021.

More than a year later, police allege he groped a second woman without her consent in late 2022.

The real estate agent allegedly moved on to a third woman just days later.

He allegedly sexually touched the woman twice in a single day in late 2022.

On March 25, police allege the Glen Alpine resident sexually touched the woman without her consent before carrying out a sexual act without her consent.

On the same day, he allegedly had sex with the woman without her consent while knowing she did not consent.

Mr Lababidi is charged with sexually touching and raping the same woman just weeks later at two different suburbs in the Macarthur area.

He allegedly forced sexual intercourse on the woman a final time in May.

Police allege the realtor sexually touched her without her consent on June 3, the same day he was named one of Sydney’s best performing real estate agents by The Daily Telegraph.

He was named Sydney’s fifth highest performer, with the publication noting he had recently sold a property in Harrington Park for $2.65m.

“I enjoy speaking with people and every day is different,” he told the paper about his role.

In September 2020, Mr Lababidi was named one of the Elite Performers in the state for the annual awards ceremony.

However, an employee at Ray White Macarthur confirmed Mr Lababidi no longer works with the company. They refused to comment on the timing or nature of his departure.

Court documents reveal he was arrested at his Glen Alpine home just before 9am on August 30 and charged with 15 sexual offences.

The real estate agent appeared in Campbelltown Local Court the next day, where he was granted strict conditional bail.

He also paid a surety of $10,000 which will be forfeited if he fails to appear in court when required.

Mr Lababidi will return to court next month.
