Three-star RB Christopher Johnson focuses on two shows
Recruiting Christopher Johnson exploded after his gold medal performance at the Florida 3A Track State Championships in the 100m and 200m sprints this spring. Three-star potential customer recently added offers from Miami, Florida, Alabama, Oregon and Clemson and more is definitely on its way to becoming one of the fastest leads in Florida.
Despite all the offers he’s received lately, Johnson seems to only really be on two shows at the moment. I caught him at Broward County High School’s media day to talk about those two programs.

IN MY OWN WORD
Ole Miss:”The vibe is good. I had a good time there. It was a school that I probably found myself in so I had to get used to being away from home. I never really thought about staying at home, but then Miami came along and showed me how they would use me. “
Miami:”They showed me how they would use me, where I would be used on the field. That’s the biggest thing for me, I want to be able to go somewhere and play soon. Enter the field immediately. Coach Gattis says you can be a freshman starting in his backyard, as long as you know how to play. “
Other related programs: “Clemson, yes, they are catching my interest. But I really stick with those two schools (Ole Miss and Miami) until now. “

RIVALS’ RESPONSE
Johnson is arguably the fastest prospect in Florida, and his performance on the track this spring has certainly helped cement that reputation. While there are plenty of top shows in the country associated with his hiring, Miami really seems to be in the driver’s seat here. Given its local ties and familiarity with the Hurricanes and some of their players and recruits, Miami is certainly a good location for Johnson. He’s definitely the talented type Mario Cristobal want to keep the house. However, Ole Miss did not give up.
