Looks like it’s hot prediction The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom received an official rating for North America by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (or ESRB, if you will).

Unsurprisingly, the game has been rated E10+, with warnings for Fantasy Violence and Mild Sexual Themes (thanks, Go Nintendo). This puts the game in the exact same position as its predecessor, Breath of the Wildreceived similar reviews in 2017.

While the first gameplay trailer showcases Link and his poor arm at the outset (setting up some pretty crude scenarios of all things material), this rating suggests that the game could be won’t be too difficult on that front. If BOTW is anything to go by, gruesome details and injuries are likely to be kept to a minimum.

The rating can now be found in all its glory in North America eShop as seen above.

It’s been a while since we last received any official TOTK news thanks to the game’s absence from recent TGAs (wow, that’s a lot of acronyms for a sentence). However, the game is still set to release on May 12, 2023 so we can expect marketing to really grow in the new year – Zelda Direct anyone??
