Summer sale on Steam is now live, lasts until early July

Another year, another big summer sale on Steam. Dubbed “Steam 3000”, This year’s sale is live now and ends on July 7 at 1 p.m. ET.

Selling prices range from high to low, giving players the chance to pick up classics like Titanfall 2 nothing next to or more modern titles like the PC version of God of War with a nice shaved chunk at the top.

The magic, however, lies in the middle. Cyberpunk 2077 is 50%, to just $29.99. Monster Hunter Rise‘S PC versionlaunched earlier this year and there is an expansion coming in the next few days49% discount.

There’s a ton of great deals to be had during the Steam sale, and scrolling through its many deals in an afternoon is a great way to accidentally overspend. But what you really want to find are games that are a year or two old and are hitting that 30-60% discount for the first time. That’s how you can add Hitman 3, Resident Evil 8and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice to your Steam Library for under $90.

The Steam Summer Sale is always a big deal for many players. For those on a tight budget, the Steam Summer Sale is a rallying point for a year’s worth of shopping. And for gamers who spend more, this is the time for a chance to bet low on some unspecified titles.

But this year’s Steam Summer Sale has a bit of an understated edge about it. This is the first summer sale since About Steam Deck this early year. As a device, the Steam Deck makes PC gaming both accessible and mobile – two things most players don’t normally associate with desktop games. For players who have a new Steam Deck or are looking to get one soon, this sale represents their first chance to stock up on games that would otherwise outpace them or end up on a Nintendo Switch.
