Stephen Curry could be out for a few weeks because of a leg injury

Defending Warriors All-Star Points Stephen’s Curry is expected to be sidelined for several weeks with a left leg injury, notification source The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Curry walked away from Golden State’s win over the Mavericks on Saturday night in the third inning after picking up an injury. He was then given an imaging test and it was determined that the illness was more serious than his club had expected.

This is of course a big blow for Golden State, currently the West’s seventh seed with a 27-26 scoreline with only 29 games left in the 2022-23 season. Only 2.5 games separated the Warriors and the 13th seed-Lakers. If Golden State can’t at least make a record wading without Curry, it could be quickly knocked out of the play-in.

Like Anthony Slater of The Athletic tweetCurry’s injury will most likely keep him out for the rest of All-Star Week 2023. Slater cautioned that the Warriors are still trying to discern the severity of the injury, and therefore exactly what he is. How long will he be out of the game?

Per Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area, Golden State is hope Curry could be back soon after the All-Star break. NBA competitions resume on February 23.

The reigning Finals MVP is having another great individual season, despite his team’s average record. Veterinarian 6’2″ averaged 29.4 PPG on .495/.427/.922 shots, along with 6.4 APG, 6.3 RPG, and 1.0 SPG in 38 games.

This could also complicate the Warriors’ approach to the impending trade deadline, as the club will have to determine which nascent assets they are willing to surrender to in order to make a kick. playoffs.
