Update [Fri 6th Jan, 2023 12:30 GMT]: After announcing that the ver.1.0.3 update was coming to Sports Story earlier this week, Sidebar Games today confirmed that it is now available to download.

Besides this update finally hitting the market, Sidebar also confirmed that they are working on a new patch to address any lingering issues and we can expect to hear more soon. information on this matter.
Original article [Tue 3rd Jan, 2023 01:00 GMT]: A surprise release for the Switch late last year was the long-awaited release of Siderbar Sports story. After some delays, the game is finally out on the Switch eShop. Unfortunately, it didn’t have the best debut, with players and critics alike experiencing numerous bugs and performance issues.
Following an update via social media a few weeks ago on how a patch is being rolled out to address some of these issues, Sidebar Games has now announced Version 1.0. It hasn’t been approved yet, so wait and see it at some point in the near future. Here’s the full rundown of what players can expect:

Tennis Academy
Talking to the receptionist a second time after starting your baby court duty will reset your progress but accelerate your quest. After downloading the patch, talk to the receptionist again to fix your task progress.
Hitting the gong twice in a row can speed up your mission. After downloading the patch, hit gong again to fix your progress (unless you’ve resumed playing after this point).
The clue can be robbed through the fence in the basement, meaning it won’t be there when you need it later. After downloading the patch, the clue will be back when you need it.
The challenge on the left side will give a punch card now.
Children’s tennis matches will be less confusing.
Impress Kelley Gibbon
Leaving and coming back will make Kelley’s starting challenge go away. After downloading the patch, talk to him again for the challenge to reappear.
Back to Dark Whisper
This isn’t a bug but everyone got stuck going back to the place where Cap broke the bridge when the culprit showed up. To escape, go back to the previous rooms and push the coffee maker out of the way from the left side.
catch bees
Sometimes not enough bees enter the hive when trying to catch them. Those experiencing this issue will be able to continue by waiting a certain amount of time during the challenge.
Commercial chase
Chase won’t accept an offer if you don’t have more than $3 in your assets. This will be fixed in the patch, but you can get through the wait by making sure you have cash.
Silver Mine is back
Returning to the Silver Mine on the mine trolley can get you stuck.
