SNL Tries (Again) to Make Us Forget They Let Elon Musk Host
Before his feature film debut in an inaccurate remake of the ’90s classic White men can’t dancerapper Jack Harlow tested his comedy as this week’s showrunner (and performer) Saturday night live.
While the rapper “First Class” mostly failed, and open coldly aimed at the trio of GOP candidates who landed with a thudthere were a few highlights of the night — including a Skechers emulator PSA featuring executives brag about how “shrewd” their sneaker company is after candidly showing a door against Jews Kanye West.
“This week, Elon Musk officially bought Twitter for forty-four billion dollars, beating the next highest offer of $0,” Colin Jost added, “Musk sent out an open letter to the public. The advertiser says he doesn’t want Twitter to be a free-for-all hellscape — because that’s his plan for Mars. “
He continued: “Honestly, I don’t understand why people are worried that Elon will destroy Twitter, as if it were America’s beloved institution. It’s not like he bought Disney World… it’s like he bought the rest of Orlando. “
In case you forgot, SNL gave their platform to Musk when they let him take over last May, despite the tech mogul’s status as a fake and one of the least funniest people on the internet. He filmed in a shameful performanceOf course, although like their previous host Trump, they tried to make up for the mistake by mock Musk whenever the opportunity arises.
