Romeo Beckham joins Brentford B on loan from Inter Miami


Romeo Beckham, son of former England captain David Beckham, has joined Brentford B on loan from Inter Miami until the end of the season. The 20-year-old player will join the reserve team of the Bees.

The right winger will be engrossed in English football and somewhat follow in the footsteps of his father, a Premier League legend at Manchester United. David Beckham has made 388 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 85 goals and providing 109 assists, winning the Premier League six times.

Romeo made 26 appearances for Inter Miami’s B team, scoring 2 goals and providing 10 assists. He impressed the Brentford coaches while on trial with the club. He joined with the loan six months after the end of the MLS season.

He is the second son of the former Real Madrid Winger David, joined Fort Lauderdale CF in 2021 before changing his name to Inter Miami II. Romeo was awarded six minutes of Inter Miami’s first team match in a pre-season friendly against Barcelona in July 2022.

David Beckham considers Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka to be quality

The symbol of Manchester United was impressed by Saka during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The Arsenal winger scored three goals in four appearances for England, who were eliminated in the quarter-finals.

David Beckham was the ambassador of the FIFA World Cup and watched his hometown team impress despite their heartbreaking defeat by France in the 8th round.

He praised Saka as a quality player alongside Borussia Dortmund teenager Jude Bellingham. The former PSG midfielder also explained how the tournament would benefit Gareth Southgate’s young squad. He told Beanymansports:

“You look at the quality of Bukayo Saka and then you look at the quality of Jude Bellingham and the players we have trained in our country.”

He added:

“I think that’s a really positive thing. These tournaments whether you win or get knocked out early, it’s always an experience that you can carry on for the next game or the next tournament.”
