Ring Camera Shows Moment Police Realize They’re Evicting The Wrong Family: ‘Oh S**t’

This is not exactly what we call outstanding service straight to the door.

One Ring Cameras appear to have saved a Florida woman and her mother from the chaos, as live footage of her shows two police officers trying to pry open the front door.

Jennifer Michele uploaded her security camera footage TikTok on Friday, showing two officers from the Pasco Police Department and a representative from Invitation house banged on her mother’s front door. The group of officials is trying to evict the family from the house – only they make a small appeal: Florida’s best is dragged to the wrong house!

Michele – who was visiting her mother 15 minutes from her Land O’ Lakes home – was understandably shocked when she noticed an uproar on the front porch. She turned on the Ring and asked the trio, who were judicious at her front doorknob:

“Hello? What are you doing?”

They replied:

“We are here to complete the deportation.”

Surprised, she asked:

“Expel what?!”

Officials told her the notice was posted a week ago, with Michele saying she had “paid off all my bills” before warning them she had a dog in the house.

At that point, one of the policemen asked for her name. As she spoke to him, someone could be heard saying:

“Oh, s** t… oh, damn it.”

“Oh s**t” is right!

As the three men began to connect the dots, Michele added:

“I was so caught up in my bills, no one sent me an eviction notice. What the hell is going on?!”

That’s when the men, who had unlocked the front door, said:

“We’re sorry, we made the wrong house. Those are next door neighbors.”

The officers then told Michele they would have to fix the doorknob for her. For what it’s worth, they’ve made good on their promise: Michele told Tampa Bay Times they fixed it “immediately” and went away to bring her family lunch.

Michele told the outlet she’s not angry that “everyone makes mistakes,” but noted that she’s “so grateful that I have that Ring device because I was able to grasp the situation.” She explained to WTSP:

“If I didn’t have my Ring, all my stuff would be stored in my driveway. If I go out of town, will they take my stuff? Will they take my dogs to animal control? I have no idea.”

On TikTok, she explained that she only shared the video because she thought it was funny and that the pressing accusations “didn’t even come to my mind”.

Thankfully, this turned out the way it did – or it might not have been a laughing matter! See it all come down for yourself (below).
