If you haven’t been able to watch enough Resident Evil Village since it launched last year, the good news is that a large amount of the content is heading towards Capcom’s survival-horror game. The Winter expansion adds a brand new storyline featuring an adult Rose Winters and set 16 years after the events of Resident Evil Village.
This scenario has a psychological horror aspect, but the trailers have hinted at Rose possessing powerful new abilities inherited from her parents’ exposure to the mutant moss at the heart of Resident. Evil Village and Resident Evil VII. The other big feature in this expansion is the third person mode with which you will be able to experience the entire game and its expansion, going back to a more classic camera angle than ever seen in the Resident games. On top of that, there’s an expansion of the Village’s Mercenary mode, which adds new characters and levels. On Fanatical, you can get Winter’s Expansion on PC for just $17, 15% off its launch price of $20. The DLC isn’t too bad either, and if you’re looking for a quick taste of the horror part of Resident Evil, you’ll want to check it out.
