Postmedia Network Inc., owned by Postmedia Network Canada Corp., said its nine daily metropolitan newspapers will no longer be printed and delivered on Mondays, effective October 17.
Postmedia spokeswoman Phyllise Gelfand said Vancouver Sun, The Province, Calgary Herald, Calgary Sun, Edmonton Journal, Edmonton Sun, Ottawa Citizen, Ottawa Sun and Montreal Gazette will all be affected.
She said the ePaper versions of the affected newspapers – a digital copy of the print edition – will remain published on Monday and the respective websites will remain updated with stories and content. news content.
Gelfand says Postmedia is making this change as reader habits continue to change.
Postmedia has a “robust digital service” and focuses on “where[its]readers go,” she explains.
