Blizzard has revealed Battle for Olympus, a new limited-time mode for precaution 2. The upcoming event will run from January 5 to 19, and based on the name, it will fit in with the Greek mythology theme seen in the ongoing event. Season 2.
The trailer opens with the following heroes, all in Greek costumes: Junker Queen, Roadhog, Pharah, Lucio, Ramattra, Widowmaker, and Reinhardt. Then a quick video of all the heroes with words like “Unleash the power of the gods” appeared on the screen. Players will also be able to earn rewards by playing during the event.
Based on the trailer, in this limited time mode, each of the previously listed heroes will gain extra powers based on specific Greek gods when their ultimate is activated. For example, near the end of the trailer Queen Junker appears in a skin inspired by Zeus, running towards enemies while attacking them with light. At the same time, Widowmaker appears in her Medusa-inspired skin, turning Reinhardt to stone while aiming at him with her scope.
