Man accused of stealing $10,000 from casino vault in Durant
Bryan County prosecutors said surveillance video showed the suspect tucking a stack of $100 bills into his shirt.
County prosecutors say surveillance video shows Gregory Perry, who works at the casino, stuffing a bundle of $100 bills into his shirt. When questioned by authorities, Perry said he spent nearly half of the money he stole on things like court costs, eating out, gambling and staying at the casino’s hotel. This money is from a friend.
Authorities charged a man who allegedly took $10,000 from the vault at the Choctaw Casino in Durant.
Bryan County prosecutors said surveillance video showed Gregory Perry, who worked at the casino, tucking into his shirt a bundle of $100 bills.
When questioned by authorities, Perry said he spent nearly half of the money he stole on things like court fees, eating out, gambling and staying at the casino’s hotel.
Perry told investigators he had deposited money in his girlfriend’s bank account and told her the money belonged to a friend.
Perry was later fired from his job at the casino.
