Authorities consider woman’s death “suspicious”
According to the New York Post, the woman was found “unconscious and not breathing” at Housing Works East New York Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Authorities say they have discovered the woman’s body around 10:30 a.m. Monday.
A spokesperson for the NYPD shared a brief statement about the discovery, as the outlet reports.

Discovery similar to one made in the Bronx last year
The NYPD’s discovery in Brooklyn is similar to that found in the Bronx on May 7, 2022. According to AMNY, a foul odor in a Bronx apartment sent officers from Precinct 44 to a building on Ogden Avenue.

Once there, authorities entered an apartment and discovered a dead body with a plastic bag on its head. Authorities were initially unable to determine the man’s sex due to the state of the body’s decomposition. However, they soon learn that the unidentified person is a woman.
On May 12, 2022, authorities reported her as Norayshma Fernandez, 34 years old. In addition, they also determined that Fernandez was murdered, according to the New York Post.
In addition, police reported that Fernandez died of asphyxiation. While the initial investigation turned up no suspects, police arrested 46-year-old Geza Hay on July 13, 2022. Hay was indicted on charges of “murder, manslaughter and weapons possession. criminal,” as reported by PIX11.
