FFXIV Patch 6.3, Gods Revel, Lands Tremble, will release on January 10th. Before the update, Square Enix posted preliminary patch notes, detailing what players can expect. It’s a long list, so we’ve picked a few changes and updates below.
6.3 will include a new Main Scenario Quest update with a new snowy-looking dungeon called Lapis Manalis. There will also be a new trial and raid, but no details on what will happen (literally, the patch notes say “hidden”).
And of course, as revealed earlier, 6.3 will remove the new Alliance Raid Euphrosyne. This is the next raid featuring The Twelve. inside latest direct mail, director Naoki Yoshida previewed what the Euphrosyne device would look like. From the actual photos he holds up to the camera, they all have a blue-and-white theme with silver details.
Island Sanctuary is also being updated. There will be two new ranks, new visions, new collection points and materials, new sanctuary crafting recipes, and new animals. There is a range of quality of life changes as well as a display of the value of crafts and the ability to filter crafts across multiple conditions.
In QoL combat, the boost and weakening effect countdown timer will now be displayed in the party menu. Players can now also save more space presets. The maximum positions have been increased from five to 30.
Also, in very important updates, Vieras and Hrothgars will get new hairstyles. Other items are also no longer gender-locked, and there are new filter options for glamorous wardrobe items. Group pose also has new stickers for the sticker mode, along with new framing and other RGB adjustments.
There are plenty of other QoL updates, so visit FFXIV’s official patch notes page for those, as well as for more info on what’s new for PvP and Crafting/ Collect.
