3. Chris Olave – Saint
New Orleans had a slow start to this game and caught fire late, scoring 17 of their 27 points in the fourth quarter to complete the comeback win. Chris Olave couldn’t make the best ball today even though he took advantage of all the opportunities he got. Olave was targeted three times and finished the game with three catches from 41 yards in the Saints 27-26 win.
Based on what Olave has been given, it’s a good way to start one’s NFL career. But Olave is the best third wide pick on a team that features the return of Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry. In Week 1, Landry was the standout of the group, burning the Falcons in seven receptions and taking 114 yards.
Not a bad performance for Olave, as he was on the field in more than 70% of the team’s attacks. Indeed, as the season progressed and Jameis Winston became more comfortable pitching for Olave, and that relationship grew, so did his goals.
