New Xbox Elite Series 2 Core Controller Comes With Free Game

Earlier this week, Microsoft launched Xbox Elite Series 2 Core controller. The white pro-style controller with black handle doesn’t include the various attachments you get with the regular black Elite Series 2, but it’s only $130. If you’re interested in a high-end controller, your best bet is buy it at eBay via Antonline right away. Antonline, an official Microsoft seller, is offering free digital copies of Watch Dogs: Legion with the purchase of a controller. Quantities are limited, so you should act quickly if interested.

Codes for Watch Dogs: Legion will arrive in your inbox within 10 days of purchase. Legion is the latest entry in the open-world hacker series, and it includes a pretty clever gameplay feature that lets you control any NPC in the game. Legion offers a wide range of quests, lots of fun add-ons, and a massive open-world sandbox to explore. We gave the game 8/10 in Review of Watch Dogs: Legion.

As mentioned, the Elite Series 2 Core controller does not come with any attachments. That means you won’t get back paddles, four extra analog sticks for swapping, an interchangeable D-pad, or a carrying case. Instead, the Core controller simply has the premium build of an Elite Series 2 controller – sleeker sticks, trigger locks, eight-way metal D-pads, and tactile grips.

If you decide you want the back pads and other accessories, you can always buy them separately. Microsoft is selling Complete component pack for $60. Alternatively, you can pick and choose the interchangeable parts you want and purchase them from third-party companies. For example, you can get a a nice set of rear paddles for about $10. We’ve tested these third-party paddles and they feel good and work well.

If you are interested in Watch Dogs: Legion but are not sold on the Elite Series 2 controller, you can also Get the game bundled with a standard Xbox wireless controller for $56.

The September Xbox console update added a cool new feature to the Elite Series 2 controller. You can now customize the RGB lighting on the Xbox button to one of over 16 million colors.
