It is official – MultiVersus Season 1 will premiere on August 15, 2022.
Statement via Twitter confirmed a new release date for Warner Bros.’s online platform fighter, along with details about the new Battle Pass.
“We’re excited to announce Season 1 will begin August 15 with a brand new Battle Pass for you to earn in-game rewards!” disclosure statement. “We can also confirm Morty will be joining the character team on August 23 as part of Season 1. We look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks!”

Apparently, the other big news here is that Morty (of Rick & Morty fame) will final joins the game as a playable character on August 23. That’s great news for fans of the show.
But Warner Bros. Games also revealed some more information about Season 1, and it looks like it won’t just be a drop in content when the game launches. Instead, they will bring new game modes etc during the first Battle Pass.
“Quick note: Everything we’ll bring you in Season 1 won’t drop on the same day,” they revealed. “New modes and content will be available throughout the duration of the Season. We will continue to share dates of all the exciting things to come! “
Now with just a few days left, Season 1 can’t come fast enough and it’s sure to be a relief once the game comes out was recently delayed.
Although some fans speculate that this could be related to the merger of Warner Bros. Discovery, game director Tony Hyunh was quick to put everything straight in.
“For those wondering, we are not affected by the Discovery/Warner Bros. merger,” he said.
And with the player base soon surpassed 10 million playersLooks like most fans haven’t been left out.
