“Mohammed Shami ran into me and told me Rashid Purple Cap”

The Gujarat Titans spinning pitcher, Rashid Khan, has revealed Mohammed Shami’s message for him in the ongoing race for the Purple Hat in the IPL 2023.

The defending champions overcame Rajasthan Royals with nine goals at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Friday, May 6.

Rashid khan broke the Royal average order with his ingenious spell of 3 eats 14 from four passes. The Titans vice-captain was the cause of the sacking of Ravichandran Ashwin, Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer when the home team was eliminated with a score of 118 in 17.5 rounds.

Rashid Khan currently has 18 goals in 10 games with a rate of 17.89 at IPL 2023 so far. He equaled the fast pitcher Gujarat Titans Mohammed Shami, who just picked up a racket last night. Both Titans pitchers are leading the catch rankings this season and will be contenders for the Purple Hat.

While talking to the Titans comrades Noor Ahmad In a video posted on the official IPL website, Rashid Khan said:

“When I got the third racket, he ran up to me and said to me: Purple hat… Purple hat… Purple Rashid hat. He knew more than me that it was going to be the hat. Purple. I didn’t have that in mind that I had to get the Purple hat.”

Khan detailed his spell that gave the Titans a convincing win to stay at the top of the table. He added:

“What’s more important is that I bowl in good areas and good lengths. That’s the kind of mindset. On this racquet if you miss your line and your length the hitter becomes very easy. “
