I have a confession: I hate high heels.
Unlike the opening sequence in Demons wear branded clothes, I can’t imagine being willing to wear a pair of skyscraper heels to go into the office. As a New Yorker, I walk a lot—mostly in my worn-out Adidas Stan Smith shoes that I’ve almost worn out like a tribute. Phoebe Philo (celebrity wore them to runway shows during her time Celine term).
Since going to work in the morning involves walking nearly a mile to work, I’ve always had a mantra of good, comfortable shoes. While the Who What Wear team doesn’t bother to look at my fading trainers (we’re the no-judgment zone!), sometimes, I want to spice up my shoes and feel more stylish. a little while at the office. As a child of the internet age, Tumblr is my style North Star, and there’s nothing more grunge style of 2014 than a chunky pair of Mary Janes paired with some pretty, pleated socks. Now that twee and indie sleaze are making a big resurgence, it’s no surprise that Mary Jane and chunky socks, slouchy The combination is at the top of my mind.
