Julie Plec On Canceling ‘Legacy’, Enrolling in ‘Vampire Academy’ – The Hollywood Reporter

3. Reinforcement (yes, again)

Showtime’s standalone streaming service may not be long in this world, and Disney wants a 33% stake in Comcast in Hulu by 2024. So what does all this mean? Follow my Ted Talk to find out!

4. Showrunner Spotlight

Julie Plec It’s a dream interview. Co-creator Diary of a vampire first joined us in October 2019 to discuss the launch of a second spin-off, Heritage. So it was fitting that Plec revealed the shocking cancellation of our show’s show. Outspoken Plec, who compared The CW’s cancellation to the “red wedding” from Game of Thrones, couldn’t help but be asked how it felt to lose not one but three shows in the same week after that Heritage, Roswell and NBC’s Endgame All were deported. Plec also revealed that there is a third spin-off in Diary of a vampire franchise in the works when The CW was canceled on a continuous basis Heritage. She also shares her thoughts on The CW’s future under new owner Nexstar and why she’s not interested in returning to broadcasting as she has some shows in the works. productions for Peacock and HBO Max. The interview is a mix of business-related questions and about Plec’s return to the vampire genre with her new Peacock series, Vampire Academy.
