Jim Harbaugh sees Carolina as a potential NFL landing spot

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh may just switch to a blue tint during his rumored NFL return.
Harbaugh is said to have discussed the position of head coach for Carolina Newspaper with team owner David Tepper.
While teams like the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts have been tossed around, Harbaugh may be considering opening for the Panthers for a variety of reasons.
For starters, that team has a higher 2023 first-round NFL Draft pick. If Harbaugh wants a rookie quarterback in the next spot, teams like Houston and Carolina can give him that. It might take a trade to jump up the board, but Carolina has the ammo for such a move.
Another draw to the Carolina might be its defensive capabilities. Backed by stars like full-back Brian Burns, defensive player Derrick Brown and full-back Jaycee Horn, Harbaugh could inherit one of the league’s more underrated defences.
It will make his life easier as he reconstructs Carolina’s offense so that one side of the ball is on track.
Harbaugh could also be affected playing in the fledgling NFC South, the league that interim head coach Steve Wilks helped keep Carolina in after Matt Rhule was fired.
If Harbaugh feels that he could commit the offense sooner than later, then he might think the Panthers won’t be far off in contention for the NFC South title. The Saints and Buccaneers have an uncertain future with limiter issues and the Falcons may still be looking to rebuild them next season.
If he wants to return to the NFL, Harbaugh should have fair sharers. Carolina is just one of the destinations that might appeal to him, but it offers legitimate interests.
