India, Bangladesh agree to strengthen defence ties | India News

NEW DELHI: India and Bangladesh on Thursday agreed to further strengthen bilateral defense ties, with military-to-military commitments, capacity building and defense-industrial cooperation.
This was decided on 4 India-Bangladesh annual defense dialogue (ADD), co-chaired by the Secretary of Defense Ajay Kumar and chief staff officer of the Bangladesh armed division, Lt-General Waker-Uz-Zaman.
The Indian armed forces are working towards “enhancing the capabilities” of the Bangladeshi army, which ranges from training and exercises to military supply and defense technology. Bangladesh, of course, is another country in the vicinity of India, where China has made strategic inroads over the years.
“The AAD referred to existing bilateral training and exercises, with both sides agreeing to increase the complexity of these exercises. ,” one Department of Defense official said.
