“I have nothing new to use to stop them”

San Antonio iron spur Coach Gregg Popovich made a hilarious comment about trying to stop brooklyn network‘ 11-game winning streak before the teams play on Monday.
Pop has had some of the most interesting interactions with the media in his long stint as Spurs coach. His blunt statements gave the media and fans iconic moments. He added more to his collection on Monday ahead of a game against the hottest team in the Eastern Conference.
“I have nothing new to use to stop them. Don’t tell anyone I said that, because I have to know everything,” Popovich said.
Brooklyn (24-12) has won 18 of its past 21 games, taking second place in the East. Meanwhile, Spurs (12-24) are the second worst team in the Western Conference. They just lost Dallas Mavericks their most recent opener, 126-125, for their sixth loss in the last eight.
Before facing Luka Doncic’s team, Pop joked that they would try to keep the MVP candidate under 50 points. Interestingly, the Slovenian star scored 51 points against San Antonio, winning with one point.
“50 will be our target. We’re keeping Luka under 50. Quote,” Pop joked.
