“I don’t want to be anywhere near AEW”

Former wrestling director and WWE Raw general manager Eric Bischoff has made a bold statement about his wrestling future. He claims to have no interest in returning to the industry in a full-time position with any wrestling commercials, especially AEW.

Bischoff has made a few guest appearances in recent years, but has no plans to return to the top job in the industry due to his busy schedule and personal happiness. In fact, he has repeatedly criticized AEW for having poorly constructed storylines and having matches just for the sake of it.

In the “Ask Me Anything” edition of the 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff was asked if he would ever return to wrestling and what company he would work for.

“It won’t be. If there’s something exciting that I can do with WWE and Bruce (Prihard), sure, it’s going to be fun. I have to be able to do it from my home, which makes that’s impossible and impractical, and I don’t want to be anywhere near AEW in any way, shape or form,” said Bischoff. [H/T – Wrestlingnews]

It remains to be seen if he view on AEW will change in the future. But for now, it seems the WWE legend has no intention of returning to the industry any time soon.

WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff calls AEW a vanity project

WWE veteran Eric Bischoff has criticized the behavior of AEW President Tony Khan, specifically his recent tweet directed at sports journalist Ariel Helwani.

On his podcast, Eric Bischoff propose that it reflected Khan’s immaturity and that he was a “child with a frivolous project.”

“Tony is getting a lot of this criticism right now. He’s reacting like a hot-tempered kid, and his reaction to Ariel in the crowd is that of a hot-tempered kid getting hurt because someone took his stuff. his play. I mean, it’s completely childish. He’s a kid with a frivolous project. He’s very passionate.” Bischoff speak.

Tony Khan was on Busted Open Radio today, and he completely dismissed Eric Bischoff for his criticism of AEW. Tony compares Dynamite to ’95-’98 Nitro when that show used to be unique and great. Say people have seen pro wrestling done a certain way for 20 long years. https://t.co/DXOb8b2jzT

Although Bischoff acknowledges Khan’s passion, he believes it doesn’t justify unprofessional behavior.
