- Lay flat to dry.

- Pour a small amount of liquid into a small cup and dip your brush to wet it.

The strongest cleaner for your brush is the one you can get there — Monaco Sworn Dawn dish soap. “It removes literally everything and anything!” Monaco said. “In case of a makeup remover emergency, I would fill a small cup with warm water and add a few drops of Dawn. Sweep it around, and voila! “It’s not crazy considering dish soaps are designed to remove stubborn oils and grease – the exact byproduct you’re hoping to get rid of when you clean your brushes.

Is there anything else I should know before cleaning my makeup brushes?
If you want to use paper towels to clean and dry your brush, be sure to choose one that is not prone to lint so your brush doesn’t look dusty. There’s nothing worse than spending time and energy washing your collections, only to have them look dirtier than before.
