How Mario X Lush Collaboration Made Bowser Glamor And My Skin Turned Golden

We live in the golden age of video games. And it’s not only because there are so many phenomenal games being made, the growing number of players by interest, some really good TV series and movie adaptations, and the growing financial power of video games with as an enterprise. Are not. Partly because I can now go into Ulta and buy Xbox-themed nail polish, Animal Crossing eyeshadow palette, and Sonic the Hedgehog mud mask, all of which smell like Peach Princess.

Video game partnerships with beauty brands are all around us, bridging the gap between stereotypical gamers and previously overlooked demographics. As someone who enjoys the challenge of perfecting my skincare routine as much as I love knocking down a From Soft boss, I love trying them out and seeing for myself which is really worth the money. Therefore, I took the opportunity to try out the Super Mario Bros. new by Lush and leave some feedback. After a month of using six different products, I finally came to a conclusion about the product that made me say, “Mama mia!” and which is a bit more, “mama mia…” So come on!

Peach princess shower gel

Although the official Lush website clearly states that this product is made with sweet orange oil, fresh peach juice, grapefruit, seaweed and some other natural ingredients, two words are all you really get The need to understand the scent and overall vibe of this body wash: pink Starburst. Being a pink Starburst girl myself, I was delighted with this soap and its quality. The presentation is fun, the look and feel is playful, and just a little Jell-O likeness is enough. Its scent is sweet, citrusy and seductive but without the problem of strong, sugary or artificial smells. In short, I feel like Margot Robbie’s Barbie using it, and who wouldn’t want that?

While Lush could have simply reused their Peachy bath bomb or used a basic peach scented soap, I’m glad they went over that to get the iconic princess best of the game. You can say they want Embody her than taking the easy route, and I’m happy to be able to channel that energy into myself.

Bowser shower gel

I am pleased to report that Bowser shower gel is also excellent. It’s really Therefore It’s amazing that I still haven’t decided if I prefer this soap or Peach’s, so I alternate between the two depending on my mood. While the Peach jelly, quite fittingly, made me feel like a princess, the Bowser jelly made me feel strong–and maybe a little sexy too?? While I initially thought it was a bit odd to make this soap smell as sexy as it is, I consider “weirdly powerful and sexy” as an appropriate tribute to Bowser and his acting. his most recent voice actor, Jack Black. But enough about my countless oddities.

Bowser Shower Gel has a hint of spice and flavor that comes from the enchanting combination of cinnamon, anise, clove, orange oil and patchouli oil. Although I do wish it stayed on my skin a little longer (I personally recommend using it afterwards with one of my favorite Lush lotions, Pansy or Karma Cream, to help prolong the life) , the original scent is very attractive and cozy, a perfect scent right in front of your eyes. – bedding products. The formula is also quite moisturizing and I rate it as a clearly gender neutral scent – everyone deserves to feel like the King of Koopas after a glass of mulled wine.

2 In 1 Bath Bomb Question

So to solve the most conundrum, puns absolute not intended: No, I don’t think this bath bomb looks like urine. Now, maybe if I had a larger pot and the bomb was more diluted, that would be a different story. For now, though, the idea that anyone will find it pee-colored only makes me concerned about their overall hydration. That said, I still don’t find the bomb aesthetically pleasing. Gold is an ill-suited color to use in beauty products and while there’s no shortage of sparkle, shimmer and shine to the product, it doesn’t feel “luxurious” but more like dishwashing liquid. strange mustard color. On top of that, both gold and glitter pigments will stick to your body, so I don’t recommend using this if you have any events coming up where you can’t appear to look like a yellow Edward Cullen.

Unfortunately, this is not where my criticisms stop. This bath bomb is big, and while that sounds like a plus, it simply causes more material to crumble and break. While Lush did a really great job of packing everything, the bath bomb stood no chance against the less delicate delivery people and got to me in pieces. This also ruins the nearly $20 bath bomb’s biggest selling point, which is the surprise soap in the middle. Instead of waiting for the block to slowly dissolve and reveal one of its six mysterious colors and the power within, I ended up awkwardly shoveling bomb shrapnel into the tub and setting my Fire Flower soap aside. I would appreciate the Question Block bath bomb for its hydrating abilities and being a great gimmick, but as a major Lush bath bomb enthusiast, it just wasn’t right for me.

gold coin soap

Out of everything included in the Lush x Super Mario Bros. collaboration, Gold Coin soap is by far the safest bet – like a product that I can easily recommend to anyone because the chances of them liking it are pretty high. While it doesn’t blow me away as much as the jelly, this bar is still an extremely solid product with its lovely buttery scent, a good bit of lather, and its longevity. It could be a bit more moisturizing, sure, but it still lives up to my already-existing expectations for the feel of your daily bar of soap.

However, this “average” variety is also its downside – there’s not much that sets this bar apart from many other soaps or anything that gives it a unique Mario feel, other than its shape. . But not even that criticism also It’s hard to get there–every good partnership needs a favorite product that offers a fun twist on a long-loved product.

Mario Shower Gel

Out of all the products I received, this one is Easily which I hesitate to use the most. Finally, I texted a friend who used to work at Lush about the unique scent of the soap, and was shocked when they assured me that their Coca-Cola scented products were indeed very popular. and loved by many–that they smell a little more pleasant. and really not as tall as they seem. With that knowledge in mind, I made a little commitment and decided to soak in the red apple candy gel and embrace the sweet yet warm aroma of Coke – or Pepsi, if you prefer that.

I’ll give the gel something: It smells like Coca-Cola, the scent lengthen, the gel has a nice color and consistency, and I think choosing a blue jeans, classic American scent is a choice that really inspires our blue-collar hero Mario. That said, smells like soda are not for me. I go to bed feeling like I just got home from a bar where someone poured rum and Coke over me, and that’s usually not the bedtime feeling I’m aiming for. If you’re the type of person eager to buy Dr. Pepper Lip Smacker or prefer more unique scents, I doubt you can like this gel and be happy with how long that strong soda smell lasts.

Luigi Shower Gel

Again, we have another case of “this scent wasn’t made for me.” Although Luigi body wash advertises itself as having a green apple scent, all I could smell when I applied it was the smell of freshly cut grass. There was something fresh in the soap, I suppose–a little bit of redeemed spring fruit, buried under the torn grass. But for the most part, I just feel like my allergies are about to get worse.

This one gets a few points for its Gooigi-inspired colors and really misses that Luigi exists, but I’d be a lot more impressed if the apple scent was a bit more pronounced.
