Houston reels in the local four-star rundown to Parker Jenkins

Klein (Texas) Four-star Forest is running again Parker Jenkins fulfill his commitment on Saturday morning to Houstonbecause of the local product decided to stay in the Greater Houston Area over other offers from Oklahoma State, Northwest and more.

Jenkins joins Houston’s class of 2023 as its first four-star engagement as Dana Holgorsen and his staff continue to recruit the Houston area at a high rate.

Jenkins has had an interesting recruit this season as the first rumor the spring saw LSU leads after a major informal sightseeing experience in Baton Rouge. However, the Tigers quickly filled in the running back with commitments from Trey Holly and Kaleb Jacksonforcing Jenkins to look elsewhere.

In June, Jenkins made an official visit to Northwestern, Boston College and Oklahoma State, where the Cowboys were able to pick up momentum in July. Houston has always maintained consistent communication, as the Cougars can provide a solid yard to stay close to home, which is something that has resonated with the Jenkins family, according to a source.

The Cougars were then able to bring Jenkins to campus for an informal visit during the July visit and were able to secure his commitment despite several national shows such as Clemson has become more severe in recent weeks.

Jenkins for Houston pledges four stars in second straight after Cougars lands four-star wide receiver Klein (Texas) Cain Matthew Golden at the end of the 2022 cycle.

At 5 feet 11, 190 pounds, Jenkins ranks as the #8 cross-country runner in the country and #51 prospect from Texas in the 2023 division, according to Rivals.

A true multi-purpose threat to an electric Klein jungle attack, Jenkins dodges tacklers with his 10.66 speed and elite back-yard spins.

There are no official stats from his base season, but Jenkins’ movie shows plenty of score breakthroughs both in runs and quick routes out of the backyard. Given his explosive form, Houston should be able to use him early in his career to open up big playing opportunities for the aforementioned Golden widely.

Houston continues the quality of assault weapons with large bodies in front coverage, such as Hunter Demetrius and Tevin Shaw.
