The Claims Room is your fully customizable base of operations in Hogwarts Heritage. This is where you will brew potions, grow plants, and take care of your magical beasts. However, Hogwarts Heritage throws a lot of this at you at once, so it can be confusing what you can do here. Read on to find out everything you can do in your Claims Room.
When do you unlock the Room of Requirement in the Hogwarts Heritage?
After completing the main story quest”Request room,” you will unlock the Room of Requirement to use and the floo flame in The Secret Room section of the Hogwarts map.
How to set, edit, and delete items in the Request Room
You will learn combine Spell and Evasco in the main story quest “Room of Requirement” and Change spelling in the next side quest, “Interior Decoration.”
- Combination Magic – Allows you to place items in the Room of Requirement
- Spell Changer — Change the appearance or orientation of an item when used in the Room of Requirement. Transformation spells can also be used on anything from the ceiling to the floor.
- Evanesco — Removes items from the Room of Claims while also returning some moonstones
To cast spells, press “T” (on PC) or right on the D-Pad (on console) and equip them to your hotbar. These spells are only usable in the Room of Requirement, so be sure to disable them when you leave.
How to expand the Room of Requirement in the Hogwarts Heritage?
Excluding Vivarium expansions, the Room of Requirement can expand twice, giving you more space to place stations, furniture, and decorations. You can customize the look of the room by changing the look of the ceiling, walls, and floor. To do so, you must complete two tasks:
- After the quest “Interior Decoration”, another section of the Room of Requirement will open up.
- After completing the main story quest”The ultimate archive,” the room from the “Interior Decoration” quest will expand even further.
How to unlock more decorations for your Room of Requirement
You may notice that a lot of the decorations are not available when you first unlock the Room of Requirement. For more decorations, you can find them in random chests around the world or get them after completing certain quests.
Where can I get more stations to put in my Claims Room?

When did you unlock the Vivarium in the Hogwarts Legacy?
After completing the main story quest”Elf, Nab-Sack and Loom,” you will unlock the first Vivarium, where you can place any ghost that you capture. Vivarium is also where you will take care of your animals by feeding and brushing them.
How can I summon more monsters in my Vivarium?
As you complete Deek’s quest line, your Room of Requirement will expand, unlocking more Vivarium for you to house your magical beasts. For each side quest you complete, you’ll unlock another Vivarium, which can hold up to 4 species and 16 beasts. To see what each Vivarium looks like, check out the gallery below.

How do you upgrade your equipment in the Claims Room?
After you complete the quest “The Elf, the Nab-Sack, and the Loom,” you will unlock the Loom to place in your Room of Requirement. Interact with the loom and select the equipment you want to upgrade. From here, you can upgrade your equipment’s attack or defense up to three times and assign a trait to it using the monster’s materials.
Remember, the quality of your gear determines the level characteristics you can assign to it.
- Appointed (Green) — No Traits
- Excellent (Blue) — Level One Trait
- Special (Purple) — Trait level two and below
- Legendary (Orange) — Trait level three or lower
