A man who was 18 when he started dating and then moved in George Santos—while the future congressman was married to a woman—says he was also cheated on.
“He said he was going to get money from Citigroup, he was an investor,” Pedro Vilarva told. The New York Times about his 2014 romance with Santos, who was 26 at the time. “Today is one thing, another day is another. He never actually went to work.”
Vilarva said Santos once gave him nonexistent tickets to Hawaii — and then he found out he was wanted for theft in Brazil.

This anecdote might be shocking except that Santos – who will be sworn in before Congress on Tuesday – has admitting an incredible pile of lies about his background from work to education to his mother’s death.
The Daily Beast reveals that the New York Republican, who often commented that he was openly gay during the campaign, has officially ended his secret seven-year marriage to a woman. in 2019.
But Santos’ outrageous misrepresentations about being “Jew,” working for Goldman Sachs and owning 18 properties were the least of his headaches.
The state attorney general is looking into the mistakes he made on official forms, and even some Republicans are suggesting that he resign — although others seem happy to leave. His vote is in the House of Commons.
