Halle Bailey’s The Little Mermaid Costume


New trailer for Disney’s”Little Mermaid“released on September 9th and featured the singer Halle Bailey as Ariel. In the teaser, Bailey transforms into a mermaid. At first, viewers can only glimpse her tail as she cruises under the sea. Then, as she sings “Part of Your World,” a closer look at her outfit emerges: the famous purple strapless bra and ombré green sequined skirt. Bailey shares her excitement on Instagram, wrote, “Can’t believe it’s happening 🐚💗✨”. Fans were thrilled about the news, as Disney has very few Black characters playing such a prominent role.
