Fremantle Appoints Christian Vesper Global TV Series CEO – The Hollywood Reporter

Global production giant Fremantle has promoted Christian Vesper as CEO of Global Drama.
In his newly created role, Vesper will oversee and look to build on Fremantle’s extensive portfolio of screenplay production companies, including Italy’s Wildside (My great friend, Eight mountains), Lux Video (medicine, Devil), and Apartment (bones and all, The hand of God), Danish film Miso (Face to face, Investigation), and Ireland’s Element Pictures (favourite, Normal person).
Vesper will also oversee Fremantle’s list of talented partners and deals, including with Chernobyl director Johan Renck and Michael Paret’s newly formed production company Sinestra, Michael Winterbottom’s Revolution Films, Afua Hirsch’s Born In Me and Fremantle’s three-year partnership with independent production collective The Creatives.
He will report directly to Andrea Scrosati, COO and CEO of Fremantle Group Continental Europe.
Based in London, Vesper and his team will continue to work closely with Fremantle’s regional drama heads across all territories where Fremantle operates, including the giants. such as UFA in Germany, Fremantle Australia, Abbott Hameiri in Israel and Fremantle Mexico.

Vesper noted that Fremantle’s TV production has exploded over the past few years, from about 30 projects in 2016, to more than 100 projects by 2022. “I can’t wait to continue this journey of growth and development. quality,” he noted.
Vesper joined Fremantle in 2016 as Executive Vice President and Creative Director, Global Drama and was promoted to President, Global Drama in 2020.
