Santana FlemingHis recruiting boomed in early 2021, earning the majority of his 45 offers that winter while at American Heritage Plantation (Fla.). Now that is the 2023 outlook at Western High School (Fla.) For her senior season, Flemming is now much closer to making her college decision.
On Monday, the four-star wide receiver teased three of his top five schools via Instagram and plans to announce the final two within the next month. I caught up with the fastball player as he got closer to deciding to speak to those top schools.

Auburn: “The fact that they recruited me as far as I can remember, I’d say since sophomore year, that hasn’t stopped. So that really makes me want to take an interest in them and just see what they have to offer. “
He has set Auburn’s official visit date for September 17, when Auburn takes on LSU. Fleming looks forward to seeing the gameday atmosphere Auburn brings, among other things.
“Probably just to get a feel for what the atmosphere of the game would be like, If I were chosen there,” he said. If I’m there for 3-4 years, I really want to see what kind of situation I’m going to live in, under what circumstances and all that. I really want to sit down with my new coach, coach (Ike) Hilliardand just pick his brain and stuff because I know he went to the NFL. He was where I was trying to get to so it would be a good position for me.”

Louisville: “It’s a great feeling to be recruited by Louisville. They are coming up with a top class. Lucky you know that they have a four star QB, (Drill) Clarkson, he texted me. The message was just that they wanted me and I just had to schedule my OV and go up there to see what they were talking about.”
Fleming plans to schedule his Louisville OV within the next week.

Mississippi State: “The vibe is great, probably one of the truest coaching staff I’ve come across out of all my offers. They definitely tell you what it is, not just what you want to hear. It’s definitely a bonus for me because I really don’t want to be in a situation where they just talk to me and once I get on campus it’s completely different. You know it’s an Air Attack Act so you know they’re going to throw the ball, everything I’m looking for to attack. Era football, it’s the SEC so I care as much as they care about me.”

There are two top schools left
While Fleming still wants to keep the last two of his top five schools a secret until he makes an announcement, he shared some key elements he’s looking for in naming the two programs. that last.
“The style of play always comes to it,” he said, “I don’t try to get into a situation where it’s mostly a run away attack. The two schools that I’m thinking of are definitely pitching and putting the boys in the league. Everything I consider to be going into a school, the last two match.
“All my top five schools are equal, once I start taking the OV will start setting schools apart.”
Commitment date
Until the day of his pledge, Fleming wants to check his visits before making a decision, and seems in no hurry at all.
“Depends on how my OV is,” he said. “I feel as if I’m on an official visit and I go there feeling like home, then I’ll pretty much wrap up. That’s really undecided, I’m just coming out of the feeling. “
Opponent’s reaction
Any program that receives a commitment from Fleming receives a very complete wide receiver. With his outstanding speed and ability to create separation, there are many schools that could use his talent.
As he gets closer to naming his remaining top schools and then making a decision, don’t be surprised to see Fleming in the SEC next fall.
