This is a huge recruiting win for LSU. Womack was being chased by Georgia, Ole Miss, Oregonand Maryland but his visit to Baton Rouge actually helped seal the deal for the Tigers. His relationship with his former teammates Jordan Tolesrecruiting coach Sherman Wilson, and Jamar Cain is a triple threat that none of his other finalists can overcome.
In Womack, LSU is getting a tough, physical and very talented prospect. He is technically advanced with some very effective speed dribbles that help him create chaos in the back yard. Womack has above-average play power and uses solid leverage to keep her hit points steady. He has no problem getting rid of the attacking striker and pursuing the ball carrier. Womack has strong athletic traits that allow him to stand up and play in space or play on the edge of defence. How long he spends as a full-back will depend on how his body responds to the strength and conditioning program in Baton Rouge.
LSU has overcome more than the pull of other competitors to achieve Womack’s commitment. Program of the Academy of St. Frances is one of the most talented programs in the country but LSU essentially destroyed their relationship with the program back in the 2020 hiring cycle when it withdrew its scholarship offer in defense.
