Exclusive image of Sanchez on Bezos’ superyacht


In case you missed it, Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sanchez traveled around the Mediterranean and most recently Portofino, Italy.

The cruise on the 417 superyacht named Koru began in the first half of May. Along the way, Bezos and Sanchez got engaged.

Sanchez began secretly dating the Blue Origin founder in the summer of 2018. Then, in January 2019, Bezos announced that he and his wife Mackenzie would be divorcing after 25 years of marriage and Sanchez finalizing the split. husband Patrick Whitesell later that year.

Sanchez, 53, took a selfie aboard the world’s tallest sailing yacht on June 12. Three giant 229-foot masts help it reach a speed of 20 knots. The massive, three-masted Koru even has its own support ship, the Abeona, a superyacht in its own right. The luxury launch brought Sanchez’s personal helicopter.

Koru was first seen under construction in 2021 at Oceano’s yard. The company is owned by a fellow billionaire, Mohammed Al Barwani of Oman. Up to 18 guests can enjoy the yacht’s three outdoor decks, including one with two swimming pools. The ship has a crew of up to 36, and also has a cinema, meeting spaces and lounges.

Portofino is an old Italian Riviera town near Genoa. Known for its chic boutiques, pastel-colored houses and cobblestone squares, its history as a fishing village makes it the perfect spot to anchor for newly engaged couples.

On June 13, Bezos and Sanchez spend part of the day walking around town, enjoying the warm Southern European sunshine.

The large yacht took several years to build and it crashed in 2022 while lying under a bridge near where it was being built in the Netherlands.
