I am a firm believer that every wardrobe needs one good button up shirt – preferably slightly oversized, preferably white (but individually). I was looking for a new one for a while when I stumbled upon it Echo Double Gauze Boyfriend Shirt ($79), and since it arrived, I can’t stop wearing it.

This is my first work from Echo, a brand based in New York City, started in the 1920s as a scarf company. Now, the brand has even more to offer, with a full range of lines accessory, Houseware, loungewear, and beachwear. While the Double Gauze Boyfriend Shirt technically falls into the vacation/beach category, it’s really something you can wear all year round. What I Like About the Echo Double Gauze Boyfriend Shirt

The Echo Double Gauze boyfriend shirt comes in six colors: Rosewater, a pale pink; Sienna, a rusty red; Infinity Blue, a deep ocean blue; Cream, a true white; Black, self-explanatory; and Beach Glass, a pale watercolor. I chose the Cream shirt because my wardrobe color palette is very minimal and I wanted a basic piece that could be worn over and over again. This button-up is made of super soft 100% cotton double gauze, which is thick yet feels really light and airy – not scratched at all. It also has a sunglasses pocket on the front and sleeves that can be easily rolled up.

What I really love about this shirt is its versatility. You can wear it as a beach jacket, button it up completely like a classic shirt, layer it underneath a sweater, or tie it up for a cut – the possibilities are truly endless.
