Rolling Loud has removed three New York Drill rappers from their lineup at the request of the New York Police Department.
The New York Times reports that the NYPD has requested the removal of Bronx rappers ShaEk, RonSuno and 22Gz, representatives for the rappers told the publication.
The removal comes just a day before the weekend-long festival begins at Queens’ Citi Field.
The removal of Drill rappers is not something new for the NYPD. In 2019, festival organizers removed Casanova, PopSmokeand SheffG from the list of performers.
The New York City Police Department believes that if these individuals are allowed to perform, there is a greater risk of violence, reads request.

Earlier this year, Mayor Eric Adams suggested that social media platforms ban Drill music.
I don’t know what rapping is, but I called my son and he sent me some videos, and it was alarming. We’re going to bring the social media companies together and sit down with them and tell them you have corporate and civic responsibilities.
Roomies, what do you think of this?
