Last July, images of the Nike Air Force 1 were refined by Drake, designed in conjunction with the release of the Canadian rapper’s sixth studio album, Certified Lover, made rounds on social networks. Perhaps most notable is how closely they’ve adhered to the OG AF1, with a few subtle updates, including a repeating heart motif on the sole.

The shoes have been leaked before drake his announcement First Nike’s collab, Nocta Hot Step Terra, was released this year, and the AF1s are rarely seen again. With so many hilariously futuristic Terras releases, it seems like other sneak peeks have been forgotten. Indeed, with Drake’s Certified Lover released last fall and a new album (Honestly, don’t mind) ignited the charts this summer, it looks like Drake has put his shoes in the incinerator again. One Twitter user confidently suggested that “Nike delayed them because the little hearts at the bottom are hard to make.”
