Burn trees near Hollywood Bowl as guests escape the sound of music – The Hollywood Reporter

Several trees caught fire near the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday night, just as guests were leaving the evening show.

Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey told The Hollywood Reporter A fire first reported shortly after 11 p.m. involved 10 trees at the site of Highland Avenue and Hollywood Highway, near the outdoor concert venue. Three fire crews were deployed and extinguished the blaze, with no injuries or damage as reported by the Hollywood Bowl.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, although Humphrey noted that there was a hiding area near the site of the fire. This is followed shortly thereafter by message“That stubborn fire near @HollywoodBowl, our 1,423rd emergency of the day, thankfully only involved vegetation and hasn’t grown to the point of issuing a @LAFD WARNING.”

The Hollywood Bowl, which recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, first opened in July 1922 and remains one of Los Angeles’ most iconic landmarks. Its summer program, which includes a series of concerts, film screenings and other cultural events, is currently ongoing.
