After a shocking interview, BTB Savage—a rising rapper from Cleveland, Ohio—is believed to have been killed in a drive-by shooting.
Based on Click 2 Houstona rapper in his 20s was killed Thursday night in Houston’s River Oaks neighborhood, though the publication did not reveal the identity of the dead man.
Witnesses at the scene noted that the suspects in a black Subaru fired a barrage of bullets at the victim, who was driving a white Mercedes. As a result, authorities believe the action “was a deliberate incident.” While the rapper’s identity was not immediately revealed, people online began to put the pieces together and concluded that BTB Savage was the victim.
The rapper just opened up about killing a man in self-defense
Part of this speculation stems from the fact that he recently spoke about killing a man in self-defense during a conversation with Vlad TV, aired earlier this week.
In the interview, BTB Savage detailed how, under the guise of trying to get a feature, two men attempted to rob the rapper after being invited into his home in San Antonio.
After asking about his necklace before leaving, one of the perpetrators pulled a gun on BTB Savage. After a brief struggle, the rapper’s girlfriend managed to fire several shots at the man, although BTB also injured his elbow in the process.
While speaking about the ordeal, the rapper claimed that the robber’s accomplices “abandoned him to death” after shooting through the door. He also noted that the perpetrator was of a “softer” type and had failed to hit him once.
Eventually, the alleged robber began to succumb to his injuries and began begging the rapper to take him to the hospital, even though BTB Savage was unmoved.
The incident occurred a few hours after BTB Savage mentioned the San Antonio Situation online
In addition to the Vlad TV interview, BTB Savage went further with a video upload on Thursday afternoon.
Specifically, a pair of photos shared via Twitter show him standing at the original filming site. He was standing in a pool of the alleged robber’s dried blood and posing next to a bullet-riddled door, and this video was uploaded just four hours before the shooting.

It was also noted that video taken from the crime scene appeared to show the victim wearing clothing similar to what BTB Savage was wearing in his photo.
