BJP Delhi protests outside Arvind Kejriwal’s residence, demanding Manish Sisodia’s expulsion from Cabinet

Earlier, Governor of Delhi Lt had requested an investigation by CBI into alleged violations of rules and procedural errors in the implementation of Excise Policy 2021-22. The policy was implemented by the AAP government in Delhi on 17 November last year.
Under this policy, private companies were granted retail licenses to 849 liquor stores across the city divided into 32 zones. The policy has now been withdrawn.
Gupta said his party will continue to agitate until Sisodia is removed from the cabinet.

Meanwhile West Delhi MP Parvesh Verma accused Kejriwal of indulged in “political tourism”.
“Since a CBI investigation has been conducted against the deputy minister, Sisodia should immediately resign if he has any moral character left,” the statement quoted Verma as saying.
Bidhuri alleges that the 2021-22 Special Consumption Policy was passed by bypassing rules and regulations.
